The Psychiatry Department responds to urgent mental health needs of Emergency Department patients. Crisis intervention is provided for depression, marital and family problems, and behavioral disorders. For persons unable to come to the hospital, a 24-hour mental health hotline is staffed by members of the Psychiatry Department.
