The Perinatology Department includes two testing rooms, new state-of-the-art machinery, and experts on-site. The department offers services for women experiencing both high-risk and normal pregnancies. The Perinatology Department offers a full-range of testing services, from first trimester screenings and 20-week anatomy scans to growth scans and non-stress tests. Doctors, including Dr. Allan Fisher, a board-certified perinatologist , are available by appointment. A genetic counselor is also available on a weekly basis by appointment.

The department conducts perinatal ultrasounds using the newest and most updated machine available. Perinatologists who specialize in fetal medicine read all test results and as needed collaborate with your obstetrician for continued surveillance of you and your baby throughout your pregnancy.

The department also offers a gestational diabetes program for women. Women come in to meet with a dietician and a Registered Nurse, both certified diabetic educators, who teach them how to best understand and manage their diabetes at home, which may include how to check their blood sugar levels.

The Perinatology Department is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. but the department generally works by appointment. To schedule an appointment, please call (973) 831-5335.
