Chilton Memorial Hospital is getting a makeover, and our first stop was the hospital's second floor. Home to our Mother Baby Center and inpatient Pediatric Unit, the area was a natural place to kick off renovations and introduce a brand new look for Chilton.

The $5 million project was completed in 2009, unveiling major structural and design improvements for both family-centered units. We're very proud of the results, which have created a warmer, more comfortable and inviting environment for our patients, bringing private rooms, beautifully furnished waiting areas, a Nursery Webcam, enticing playrooms, and a host of personalized amenities.

We're equally proud of the overwhelming support Chilton has received from our community. More than $3 million was given by donors who wanted to be a part of this exciting first step in transforming Chilton's facilities. Truth is, your generosity has sparkled as much as our beautifications...and we couldn't have done it without you!

We are sincerely grateful to each and every donor who contributed to the project's success, with special thanks to the following benefactors for their philanthropic leadership:

• Reckitt Benckiser, which donated $250,000 to create the Lysol Playroom® for children awaiting the arrival of siblings.  Read more.
• Select Anesthesia and Pain Management, PA, which donated $250,000 to construct the visitor’s lounge in the Mother Baby Center.  Read more.
• Physicians in Chilton’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for donating $100,000 to build a new nursing station.  Read more.
• The Chilton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, which raised $500,000 for the Special Care Nursery.  Read more.
• A private family foundation, which wishes to remain anonymous, for funding the Pediatric Unit playroom.
