New Starlight Fun Center™ Sponsored by Colgate-Palmolive and A&P Lifts Spirits of Pediatric Patients at Chilton Memorial Hospital

Colgate-Palmolive Company and Starlight Children’s Foundation, with the support of A&P, generously placed a new Starlight Fun Center™ at the Pediatric Department at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains, NJ. A ribbon cutting event was held on July 14. Each Fun Center™ mobile entertainment unit features a Sharp AQUOS™ LCD TV, DVD player and Nintendo Wii™ gaming system to provide hours of fun and distraction. POMPTON PLAINS, NJ (July 15, 2010) - Today, children undergoing treatment at Chilton Memorial Hospital will be smiling brighter. Through an ongoing partnership between Colgate-Palmolive Company and Starlight Children's Foundation, and with the support of A&P, a new Starlight Fun Center™ was unveiled at the hospital for its pediatric patients.

For children who may be facing surgery, enduring long outpatient treatments or fighting loneliness after hospital visiting hours have ended, Starlight Fun Centers™ provide a comforting break. Each Fun Center™ mobile entertainment unit features a Sharp AQUOS™ LCD TV, DVD player and Nintendo Wii™ gaming system to provide hours of fun and distraction.

"When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, the day-to-day joys of childhood take a back seat to the rigors of treatment and hospitalization," said Jenny Isaacson, VP Brand Marketing & Communications, Starlight Children's Foundation. "Our Fun Centers help ease the isolation and fear children often experience while in the hospital.
